Be a survivor
The city you will come upon is already in ruins and zombies are out there for your brains and blood. At the start of the game, you will get to choose which character you would like to play and then select a quirk or a skill. They will prove to be helpful to you once you are released out there in the open where zombies are waiting to feast on you. The controls are really easy so you do not have to worry about getting confused while in the middle of the game. You will be seeing the whole game unfold from a bird's eye view so there is no need to worry about switching camera angles and point of views. It is also easier to strategize and look for escape points this way.
Zombies move very slowly so you do have enough time to strategize and flee. Although I would advise you not to be so careless and confident despite their slow-paced movements. Once they have formed a hoard huge enough to block your way, there is no escaping death. There is just no excuse for you to linger on a spot unnecessarily for long periods of time. Money and other loot can be retrieved from empty houses and from shooting crates. Once you are done collecting all of the items around an area, hurry up and flee towards your next destination. Glowing green arrows are placed on the roads to guide you where you need to go. You also need to watch out for green question marks! You have to walk over them in order to hear instructions and receive missions from another game character. Another tip I am going to leave you is to be careful when shooting. Do not fire your gun aimlessly because you do not have infinite ammo in this game. Be sure to aim properly as well because chemical tanks are scattered around the area. They will explode without warning once you shoot them.
Ready your guns
There are around 60 weapons you can use to defend yourself from over 100 zombies roaming around the area. Some of these cool weapons are pistols, bombs, and sniper rifles. Missions can be tough and the difficulty of each stage increases. Luckily, besides having badass weapons at your disposal, there are other devices in the game that will help you win like radars and battle drones. Your weapons and gadgets will also receive upgrades as you level up. You will soon discover that the world is not just being terrorized by zombies and therefore you will need stronger weapons.
